What advice would you give this Man? Hi, I am considering proposing to my girlfriend of two years but have some concerns on blended families. We both have two children each. I have a Son & Daughter while she has two pre-teen Boys. Our children get along, we are both cordial with our ex spouses, have great careers etc. The issues that I have noticed via conversation is in regards to discipline. Her Boys are good kids but get out of line sporadically like other kids. There have been several occasions where I have stepped in to correct their behavior verbally only to have my girlfriend frown up, look at me crazy & recently tell me I dont want anybody disciplining MY children other than their Father & I. Is this normal in blended families? Im contemplating walking away. I cant see being expected to provide for children as if they are mine yet not being allowed to discipline them as needed under the roof Im paying for. Im looking forward to reading the advice as to how the subscribers of this page would handle this situation. Men: would you propose based on the information I have provided?
