What am I missing? How does laying in a street help a protest or change a decision by a Grand Jury or erase the actions of a thief or change the outcome at Ferguson??? What good does it do for five St. Louis Rams NFL players raise their hands when Mike Brown never did??? The young man had several chances to surrender. He did not. Agree with Officer Wilson or not, I would love to see anyone reading this in his shoes with a 64 300 lb man charging at you, after a convenience store robbery and trying to take the officers gun away!! Hmmmm I highly doubt if you would just stand there without trying to stop him. While in instances like this I would think a thigh or leg shot or use of bean bag or taser would be adequate, Officer Wilson used deadly force and Michael Brown was killed. The protests I am seeing thus far, are useless. How about training police officers further and better still, how about parents and teachers teaching their kids it is a crime to steal and charge a police officer when asked to surrender! Now theres a concept!! Please educate me on what I am missing here? To me, a protest is only successful when parties from both sides, in this case, the police AND the citizens of Ferguson meet and develop strategies to resolve matters at hand NOT act stupid and yell at each other or disrupt daily commuters or business efforts.
