What am I to think when I hear English cricket fans (in denial) sing loudly a hymn, based on a poem, about the second coming of Jesu?. I guess if youre losing, by wickets and runs, you might want the Lord to return a little ahead of time. And did those feet in ancient time, score a century sublime? And was the holy Lamb of God, out for a duck before lunchtime? Bring me my Bat of burning gold; Bring me my Bowlers and my choir: Bring me my Slips: O clouds unfold!
