What an amazing day yesterday was. I spent much of the day at RehearsalWorks in Sumner at one of the final Resisting Ordinary rehearsals. Being a mentor to these incredibly talented, hardworking musicians has been an eye-opening honor. I would continue to mentor young bands, work-shop songs, and produce music for always if I could, but it all comes to an end on Saturday when they have their final performance and competition. The thing is, I do not believe music should be a competition because, like any art, it is subjective. However, with what they have achieved in such a short time, they have already won in my book. :)
