What an amazing night at the Star Awards. A glittering evening at Hellidon Lakes celebrated PJ Care and its remarkable staff. So here are the results... Nominated in the Rising Star category were Victoria Bryant and Joyce Kerry from Brunel, Wayne Leggit, catering, and Kuda Shumba from Cedar. And the award went to VICTORIA. Leader of the Year was between Reni Alex from Oakley, Amy Iddon from Bluebirds, Anna Lesniak, practice development, and Paul Trim, Fosse. And the winner was AMY. Support Services nominations were for Francis de Ocera and Sophie Rodrigues from Milton Keynes, and Christine Simpkins and Colin Waldron from Peterborough. And the award went to CHRISTINE. Business Support Worker was between Sarah Barker from head office, Kim Maynard of Bluebirds, and Pam OConnell and Kim Speed from head office. The award went to SARAH. Carer of the Year was between Sophie Bull, Fosse, Pam Jamelo, Watling, Nichola Jones, Oak, and Emily Pirie, Brunel. The winner was EMILY. Nurse of the Year nominations were Emma Brennan, Bluebirds, Mel Keen, Watling, Charlotte Little, Brunel, and Marzena Mitowska, Brunel. The winner was EMMA. Team of the year was between Brunel, Cedar, Eagle Wood laundry, and the practice development training team. And the winner was EAGLE WOOD LAUNDRY. Outstanding Contribution nominees were Linda Germano from Bluebirds, Anna Lesniak, Kunle Solaru from training, and Colin Waldron from Eagle Wood. And the winner was KUNLE. AND FINALLY ... the overall Star of the Year Award went to CHRISTINE SIMPKINS, housekeeper at Eagle Wood. Well done to everyone involved.
