What an awesome season of celebration we are about walk into! I am extremely excited about the 1 day we are able to shower and pour out the appreciation and tangible love for the priceless and eternal value that has been sown into our lives all all these years by way of Gods heart for us gift wrapped in flesh and named Prince James Stewart! My spiritual father who was prepared for me before the foundations of the world TAILOR-FITTED to what I needed and all the issues I have. What I appreciate is the access that this man of God allows us to have and the accountability that he willingly gives us so that we may be challenged to grow. And not just spiritually either but holistically in every area of our lives. What I have come to understand and appreciate about the Lord is His overwhelming love and passion that He has demonstrated towards us in spite of us. But I would not tangibly appreciate and understand the love of God in the spiritual if I had not experienced His love demonstrated towards me in the flesh. My pastor is the proof of Gods love because in His mercy he was sent by God as an extension of His heart to rescue me in my sin by introducing me to the greatest Man I know who is the LORD JESUS CHRIST. LOVE CAME FOR ME IN MY PRISON. And when I say prison I dont just mean a spiritual prison neither. This man of God goes above and beyond the call to be the help when we we have needed it and when no one else was able to be there. Above all this man is truly A MAN OF SACRIFICE. With the sacrifice of his time(which is the only resource that cannot be regenerated). I was there when he would counsel people until the wee hours of the morning after teaching and preaching the Word of God for 3 straight hours in Bible study and still have to get up early the next morning for work! And with the sacrifice of His treasure which according to the Bible is where the heart is. I remember clear as day laying in my hospital bed after my car accident and opening my eyes and right there was was my pastor cutting his vacation short to see me and asked me where the car was that needed to be fixed and where the keys were because he was going to get it out himself. And when my family Ceferino Villegas and Ruth Cosca, who are full time missionaries, would come to visit EVERY TIME they came he would sow into them support their ministry even though they are not affiliated with with the ministry. And how could I forget when my cousin Tina Rey Santos was about to leave to go back to to the Philippines for graduate school he put together a going away party for her, showered her with gifts, and sowed into her life and left her with a Word. And my cousin is not even a member! And these are just a few situations that many others have encountered with the sacrificial love of this man of God. Is he perfect? Not at all and he NEVER claims to be but he is positionally perfect in Christ according to Ephesians 4:11. With the transparency of His preaching he has become effective and relatable to give us a hope that even with all our hangups and issues we can still be victorious in Christ! With all my heart I believe that TDTCM is beyond privileged to experience an extention of the love of JESUS in the flesh. And yet with all the overwhelming love and passion that my pastor has for me it does not even come anywhere near, NOT EVEN CLOSE, to the love that the Father has for me by sending His Son JESUS. July 13th will be a day that will go down in history as one of the greatest celebrations we will get to have by honoring the Lord by way of honoring and celebrating His servant!
