What an awesome weekend in Durban for Iron Gladiators Powerlifting Competition , for those that werent there, Ive put together my last 3 lifts for you to see. Highway Iron and Rhino Powerlifting Club put on a great event and the camaraderie and humbleness among the lifters was brilliant. Grant Fullerton and Donovan Morris thank you for the effort you guys put in (and no doubt others behind the scenes) to making it such a successful day. The caliber of athletes both young and old, beginner and experienced was fantastic and one of the reasons I wanted to come and compete, I wasnt disappointed. Big shout out to Lill Bianchi and Team Off The Grid Athletic, not only for letting me tag along but ensuring that I was well fed over the weekend. Thats no small task!!! Thank you to all the lifters who offered sincere words of encouragement during the competition, guys like Tristen O Brien, Jason Pears, Grayson Beare, Rory Jason Scheepers, Daniel Ross Hurlin, Mohammed-Raees Dangor, Ian Morris and on and on the list could go. Definitely need to say thank to my sponsors Best Supplements SA (BSSA), I couldnt stomach much food on the day so your supplements in combination with copious amounts of Jelly Babies, Jelly Tots and basically anything pure sugar based kept me going. My wife Micaela and daughter Isabella, whom I missed incredibly over the weekend, who give me the support behind the scenes, words and Facebook will never do justice to all you do for me. Its now time to prepare for RPC Nationals in 24 weeks with the goal of not only competing but bringing a Team with me to represent Evo Fitness and the Western Cape!
