What an eventful last 22 hours! Last night Emily ODell and I went to meet friends at Fogo de Chao to celebrate their 10th anniversary and Seven to celebrate a friends 40th birthday. Everything was perfect. The food, the service, the company... so much love. As we were ready to leave we all left and went back to Fogo to get our vehicles that we left with the valet. Ten minutes later everyone in our party was in their cars and on their way home. Half an hour later we still didnt have our truck. Finally, a man came out and said he was the owner of the valet company and that there wasnt an easy way to say this. Anyway, they lost our truck three hours prior right when we dropped it off! Someone stole it before they even got around to parking it! Unfortunately our winter jackets, gloves, electronics, etc were in there as well. After the initial shock all we could do was laugh and be so grateful for everything we have. You could take away our material things or drop us in the middle of a bad situation and together we have been blessed with the ability, strength and empathy to get through anything with love, laughter and peace. Last night solidified that even more. What a nice reminder and lesson in life. Ive been so overwhelmed with gratefulness ever since. Thank you to everyone who has helped us sort everything out these past 19 hours. We really loved that truck for many personal reasons but the generosity we have experienced throughout this little hurdle has us completely overcome. We are sooooo blessed. ❤️❤️❤️
