What an opportunity. Ouyen P-12 College students made the most of a concert by the Mallees own Jeff Tynan, in town for the Ouyen Farmers Festival and Melbourne Cup celebrations. Jeff officially launched his first music video Better I Was at this concert and sent his message that music is a vehicle for expression, creativity and healing. Jeff also pointed out that he has built a livelihood, travelled the world and meet his wife Sarah, all through music. From an educational perspective our students saw first hand that singing, playing instruments and performing for others is actually a cool, uplifting and healthy activity and who better to prove the point than a highly skilled instrumentalist, singer and truly decent human being who shares their background. Our Mallee Kids left the theatre buzzing and singing the tunes they had just heard. Thank you Jeff Tynan and Band Members, Dave and Wazza and thank you to the Roxy Theatre Committee for their support and sponsorship of this fabulous event.
