What beautiful energy and commitment to make Stone Soup for 800 on hot plates and bring it into the concert room delivered on trays at the very end. So nice to play a part in this active tribute to Toshi Seeger. Thanks to Kitama Cahill-Jackson and his crew we could hear the memorial as we worked, eventually we took shifts to go in and see the memorial Tinya Seeger was available everywhere at just the right time. But the core crew, Dona Marie Crawford Dan Einbender Meryl Silverstein Huckabey, Alan Goldhammer, Beth Smith Partridge Clare Francis Joe Kaminsky Stephen Crawford Vincent Cerniglia Jay ArmourJ James Malchow, Gigi Fris, Livia Vanaver, so many others pulling together. The many who brought a vegetable, stayed and cut it with us and put it in the pot. Bob Reid appeared at the exact moment to give us the critical information -what the last song would be. (Turn Turn Turn with Toshi verses) I know I missed naming many of the helpers some I know you others I dont. Dont know why some of you dont link to your page either …bottom line there was a lotta love going on there yesterday.
