The final chapter in Pink Floyd history, The Endless River is now in stock on CD/book and double LP. While certainly not another Animals, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn etc, The Endless River is still a vital release bookending the bands epic career from optimistic acid pioneers to road-worn travelers. Largely instrumental, atmospheric and ambient, these songs lack the lyrics and cohesive structure their other albums had (and of course its missing Roger Waters). But, in their absence, whats left leads the listener to infer what is missing. The album then ceases to be merely throw-away scraps from an old session and then becomes an interstellar journey into the afterlife, a voyage into the great beyond of one of rock and rolls best bands.
