What beautiful weather to start half term (shame its not set to stay!). Weve been out in the garden today, mixing up potions. I set out a variety of tools (spoons, medicine dispensers, funnel, sieve and tweezers), coloured water, various kitchen cupboard items (couscous, cornflour, salt and pasta and a tray of ice cubes) and some containers and stepped back to watch them play. The children were captivated, focused on pouring, transferring, mixing colours and discovering the effects of adding water to different substances. This is definitely one well be repeating!
