What can poor NaMo do in mere 60 days is too niave a question. NaMo wasnt born yesterday. He has been in politics for 40 years and has been CM for 13 years. And his political group RSS has been around since 1925 and Jansangh\BJP since 1950. And BJP had been in center from 1997-2004 and BJP has been in stage govt in many states for decades. . It is TRIVIALLY easy to reduce corruption in police courts, prosecution etc from existing level to near US level or lever within 30 days. So 80 days is too long a time. Till now, NaMo was in-charge of Police, lower courts and prosecution in Gujarat. And in 13 years, he could never bring corruption and inefficiencies in these three areas, except some routine computerization which happened across India. Giving credit to computerization in Govt to any Minister will be like giving credit to A Raja for rise of mobile phone usage in India !!! And we factor out difference made by routine computerzition, then gains made in police, prosecution and courts in Gujarat in 13 years are no better than any other states --- all near zero. . The NaMo-fans till may-2014 used to say that due to central laws, NaMo is unable to fix police, prosecution and courts in Gujarat. And excuse was valid --- because IPC, CrPC etc are concurrent matters and Central laws dominate all States. But that was lame excuse -- because BJP from 2002 to 2014 had 100+ MPs in Parliament. Why didnt any MP proposed private member bill to fix IPC, CrPC etc? But that was rationalized as BJP is bad , but NaMo is all good. . Well, then 60 days is more than enough to pass whatever law-drafts NaMo wants to fix IPC, CrPC etc. NaMo should have had drafts he wanted ready before NaMo came into power. Nothing says that you can start your research only after becoming PM. . All in all, BJP\NaMo had and have no desire\strength to fix IPC, CrPC, judge appointment rules from Supreme to lower courts, rules to appoint prosecutors, rules to appoint police chiefs etc. NaMo\BJP dont want to collide with vested interests everywhere --- economy, RBI, banking, administration, police. Worse NaMo\BJP has no desire to even clash against foreign vested interests. so like past regimes, they have just taken a short cut for job growth --- FDI, FDI and more FDI followed by yet more FDI , also accompanied by foreign loans for everything from toilets to BRTS to education to weapon buying. . So job growth will happen --- but that would NOT be due to internal decrease in legal/administrative inefficiencies, but only due to FDI/debt. West/Japan will invest heavily as West wants to use India against China same way camels were used to break gates. And FDI/debt will increase control of Japan/West over India. Drama like say no WTO will go on at full pitch, but not much control will be left once most of the core manufacturing including weapon manufacturing and much of media is run by FDI/debt. . If NaMo\BJP had any desire/strength/plans, then all necessary law-drafts would have been passed in Loksabha in 2 weeks. So 60 days of total inaction of legislative front says volumes and gives a lot of indications about times to come. . Solution I propose is that activists should focus on informing fellow activists about law-drafts which can reduce our inefficiencies , such as RTR, DDMRCAM, JurySys, wealth tax, inheritance tax etc etc. NaMo-bhakti, AK-bhaktu, Sonia-bhakti is going to drown us. via www .facebook. com/mehtarahulc
