What can you do when you get a lot of friend requests from people youve never met, may not remember, may have only recently encountered online or are just not interested in knowing. Its easy to be mean or accidentally offend someone. So I crafted the following as a cut and paste for those folk in a message before I delete their request. Feel free to use it. Thanks for asking to be friended by me on Facebook, very nice. You could have just followed my postings which are all public anyway. Because Im somewhat private and have a close circle of friends and acquaintances, I only friend people with whom I have a lot of personal dealings with in MeatSpace. And you dont fit into that category plus a lot of outside FB Friends tend to clutter up my timeline and can be quite distracting.
