What did I get for my birthday? More than 300 birthday salutations and messages from Facebook friends, a phone call at 8am from a friend I thought had forgotten me til after the referendum, 17 cards,including 3 e-cards, a visit from ex neighbours with a lovely book on the rules of English Grammar, a soap in a box with a real pearl on the lid from Cissie next door, an egg from Hetty, a cuddle and 4 kisses, a beautifully set table with linen napkins and polished glasses on my arrival in Kelty, a bunch of flowers, a bottle of rust remover, a screwdriver set, spanners, and a spectacle mending kit. And best of all, both parents smiling and able to sit at said the said set table and eat a meal with me. Last year, I wasnt sure that would ever happen again. So very, very grateful!
