What do yall think on removing any reference of doing work or being part of non-profit organizations that have commonly known Islamic terms in it from your resumè (because of legally-undetectable bias that may occur)? For example removing any reference to organizations with terms in their name such as Islam, Muslim, Quran, Masjid/Mosque, etc. But keeping Muslim organizations with names that have terms that either have no Islamic term or not commonly-known terms like Fajr, Fiqh, Seerah, or Halaqa etc. I try to abbreviate whenever possible (unless entire name is abbreviated), but I am starting to believe this undetectable bias potential employers may have makes me want to use a nickname for organizations like Muslim Student Association, United Muslim Relief, Young Muslims, Masjid-related organizations, etc. So guys, what are your input on this? Remember keep it clean, and dont let ego or anxiety get in the way of this post/comments. Everyone has a different perception. We do not know anyones intention, so if disagreement is necessary, we need to respectfully disagree.
