What do you Mamas think? Would you share milk? Personally, I - TopicsExpress

What do you Mamas think? Would you share milk? Personally, I found it interesting the interview is keen to use fear based language risk to tear down milk sharing, while promoting the use of infant formula (Hey there Nestle! - a company with a sordid history of predatory marketing) as the only acceptable option. But considering the contracts all the formula companies have with AHS/hospitals they could hardly say this is a reasonable option, we would recommend the following precautions or screenings for xyz possible transmission. What I DID love about this interview was the obvious outpouring of support and love for a Mom who needed her village to provide for her family in a way she could not. This is what Motherhood is - lifting each other up, even when others would choose to use the opportunity to tear your choices down. Much love to this community of Mothers who provided over 2000 ounces of breastmilk! As always, we respect families choices (whatever way you choose to feed your baby). We do NOT agree with fear based or skewed counselling by the media or organizations to misrepresent available options. This does not serve Mothers or Babies. -Lisa globalnews.ca/video/1707536/sharing-breast-milk
