What does God think about the wealthy? If you think God hates the rich people, you would be wrong. In fact, its oftentimes the poor and even middle class that are not right with God because they will oftentimes covet what the rich person has. But back to the wealthy. Remember it is the love of money that creates all of the problems in the human heart and much of the problems in the world. Poor and rich alike can fall into this trap. Wealth can create a very difficult situation for people because it is deceitful. It can trick you into trusting in it instead of in God. When your focus stays more on money, finances, jobs, retirement accounts, etc., then on your Creator, then you have been deceived and fallen for the big lie. The Word of God is then choked out of your life. You slowly die spiritually as your shift from the spiritual to the temporal. This leads to you becoming unfruitful for God because your heart is more focused on money and the things that it will buy then on the God who created you and has every hair on your head counted with perfect accuracy. The big lie leads you away from God and into the hands of the enemy. Heres the Bible verse that goes along with this. Matthew 13:22 the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
