What does knowing God mean? You have eternal life because you invited Jesus into your heart. But what is the meaning of eternal life? Jesus defines eternal life for you. He says eternal life is meeting and knowing God and His Son Jesus Christ. The word know, in describing eternal life, means a progressive knowing. You met Him and are learning more about Him. You are growing to know Him in an intimate way. It is somewhat like a person getting to know their spouse. It grows and grows in never ending love and understanding.
