as police celebrates 100 years, we must admit there has been a vast change compared to the earlier regimes. however i must point out that alot of work needs to be done. why, i will relay my experience... two days back, a client office was invaded by a person who claimed to be a updf soildier. he had an id card. he threatened to close the office because of a bounced check. i was called and i went the next day. wn i reached, we went to police and filed a complaint. we called the guy to trap him and he said he was in rm 3 at cps whr we went. this person was warned by one of the people in the office. as soon as he was warned, a police officer called george called us and summoned us. we went to him and explained ourselves. i asked him to investigate the matter, and he refused saying he knew more law than i did. i spoke to a superior officer, i wont identify who said that we leave the matter and we should ignore it since we will have more cases at cps. veiled threat... i would say. in the end, we abadoned the matter. my concern is this, the officers worked hard to protect this man, were they aware of his activities? more so in this age where people have testified to being robbed by thugs carrying ids of police and army, is it not prudent to find out who this person was? to me these questions brought alot to my mind which bothered me.
