What does rebellion mean? Refusal to come under the authority of someone who is above you. In Biblical terms, it almost always refers to man rebelling against God. God HATES rebellion, and says in 1Samuel15:23_it is as the sin of witchcraft. The Bible also says these things about rebellion: Isaiah63:10_Rebellion grieves the Holy Spirit and causes Him your enemy and fight against you. Psalm107:10-11_If you rebel against the words of God, and spurn His counsel: you may sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.
