What does the North Texas Citizens’ Lobby do? Give us one hour - TopicsExpress

What does the North Texas Citizens’ Lobby do? Give us one hour of your time, and we will share what we did last year, and will do during the 84th Texas Legislative session... Saturday – Sept 6th 1:00pm-2:00pm Spring Creek BBQ – McKinney 1993 North Central Expressway (at Highway 380) McKinney, TX 75070 Map: springcreekbarbeque/mckinney.htm Last year, the North Texas Citizens Lobby banded together with Texans across several north Texas counties (and more to the south and west) to learn how our Texas Legislature operates, publicize their actions, support good legislation and oppose the bad, and generally learn how to be more effective with those that make the laws. We invite you to join us. We’ll teach you what we’ve learned, how to utilize all the tools to know what the media isn’t telling you, and join us in being effective in Texas government! Well outline the model we use and the 3 different roles where you can participate. This model can be used for the state government or your county & local government. In short - we have a blast working with like-minded neighbors! Join us for one hour. We’ll stick around afterwards for your questions. Feel free to patronize the fine business that has opened their space for our use…and purchase a delicious plate of BBQ (or salad) in the buffet line, and then join us in the banquet room.
