New Job RF Test Technician - 893436 Industry: Electronics Job Type: Permanent Location: Newport, Wales Salary: £20000 - £22000 per annum The main purpose of this role is to support test engineering activates. This is a crucial role within the department. The company are looking to appoint a knowledgeable, qualified and experienced RF Test Technician to be heavily involved with supporting the test processes. Main responsibilities of the role: Working with RF Test Engineer to deploy RF test solutions for shop floor use Identifying, documenting and implementing preventive maintenance tasks Writing Test Instructions Liaise with customer support and technical issues on and off site. Debug of Production failures and customer returns. Maintain calibration of equipment, first line repair and reproduce to a known revision level. Train designated Production Test staff Provide technical assistance, diagnostic help, support and advice not only within the designated teams but also for other teams and departments. Personnel specification The successful candidate will be educated to a relevant RF Electronics qualification with a clear understanding of RF test circuits, along with Analogue and Digital. They will possess a strong technical knowledge and the ability to work with all levels of staff with past experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment Additional points Debug of assemblies to component level Specialist RF knowledge Literate IT skills are essential including Office, Cad viewers etc. along with a familiarity of test orientated languages (Labview, Visual Basic Etc.).
