What exercise/activity are you grateful for? Ive been a runner - TopicsExpress

What exercise/activity are you grateful for? Ive been a runner since the age of 14, and I am so grateful for running and the ability to run even with fibro and osteo issues. I am grateful for the determination to find ways to make it work, knowing that my body and mind need safe and effective exercise on a regular basis. This morning I woke up with a headache from being exposed to multiple chemical fragrances last night and it persisted through the afternoon ... at one point, I was standing with my head against the wall asking God for mercy. That has been my life with migraines since the age of 9. So, like I say on the fibro flare article of the website, I determined that my best bet would be to get moving... Even as its pretty cold outside, I took Altoid for a walk, and then took myself for a run ... After a five mile run, my headache isnt gone, but it is more manageable and I can think more clearly than before the run. I picked up a few endorphins and happy thoughts.....I said hello to a few neighbors and that in itself made me feel good... That just makes me grateful!! Living with fibromyalgia and its related conditions is not easy..but when we find ways to deal with it more effectively, well that is just rewarding... and that is my hope for everyone here... Lets make 2015 a great year ... Lisa. FFP.
