What happened to pride in education and knowledge? That time when academic qualifications were like a testmony of being saved in religion, the time when every opportunity to mention when you did your school cert. was taken advantage of, when people used to steer conversations just to mention they had a degree or start a sentence with in my A-levels. When conversation was confabulation and thinking was cogitating with my medula obrongata, this and that was idiomaticaly subtle just to display an eloquence in english vocal.(short for vocabulary) I remember a fella who described everything as geographicaly this for ranges and terraine and mathematicaly that for even simple calculations. Vocabulary prowes sometimes degenerated into contest where fellas wanted to show their abillity to pronounce long and complicated English words. In one such contest a fella asked another, whats a gonalock? and explain in detail. The other fella did know what it is nor did I.
