What have we been up to? Well, getting the farm as ready as possible to go through for another deep freeze. Looks like it is going to be a long stretch, too. Weve got four rounds in the big pen and one in the small with a few more on standby. We have small squares that well feed in the shelters at night so we know weve got enough to get through. I patched Ambers blanket and fixed all the straps on Apaches and will blanket the whole herd while I fill the water tank this afternoon. While Im waiting for that to fill Im bringing in as much fire wood as I can. (Oh, and making a Facebook post:) We should be set for a few days but would appreciate help later to move more bales in and help at feeding time - specifically in the morning. I like to go out about 8:30 am. If you come to help please bundle up! And please, keep all the beasts in your prayers (not just ours - everyones!).
