What is Love? Part 4 As soon as the Guptas left,Nani came forward. Nani:Chotte,hum ab bhi pooch rahe hain,aapne aise achaanak se shaadi kyun ki? (Im still asking you,why did u get married so suddenly?) Arnav:Aur maine bhi kaha hain ke mujhe aaj shaadi karni thi to maine kardi. (And even Ive said that I wanted to get married so I did it.) Nani:Par wajah kya hain?Iss ghar ke bare hone ke maate aur aapki Nani hone ke naate se humara haq banta hain ke humein pata honi chaahiye.Jaise Garima ne kaha tha,hum samaaj se kya kahenge? (But what is the reason?As the eldr of the family and as ur Nani,I have the right to know.Just like Garima said,what will we say to the society?) Arnav:(growing extremely irritated) Oh,please dont give me this crap about the society again. Anjali:Chotte,mind ur language. Arnav:Oh really?? Aap logon ko society ki bahut fikar ho rahi hain,right? To tab kahan thi aapki society jab mujhe aur Di ko apne hi ghar se nikaala gaaya tha? Tab aapki society kahaan thi jab ek chauda saal ke ladke ko sadak pe bilkul akela chod diya gaya tha? Tab aapki society kahaan thi jab mujhe apni family ke liye struggle kar raha tha? To mein iss society ki parwa kyun karoon? Jab itni saalon baad mujhe zindagi mein khushiyaan mili hain,then why should I forsake it? (U people care so much for the society,right? Then where was ur society when Di and I were thrown out of our own house? Where was ur society when a 14-year old boy was left all alone on the streets? Where was ur society when I was struggling for my family? Then why should I care about the society? Why should I forsake it when I got happiness in my life after so long?) Everyone were left stunned at this outburst of Arnav.Whereas although angry at Arnav,Khushis heart went out to the poor soul who went through so much in his life. But soon the queries started all over again. Anjali:Theek hain,maana ki aapki khushi Khushiji mein hain,par sawaal ab bhi yeh hi hai ki aapne jaldbaazi mein,bina bataaye shaadi kyun ki?Agar shaadi hi karni thi,to hum issi mandap mein aapki shaadi karwa dete. ( Agreed that ur happiness lies in Khushiji,but the question remains , why did u get married in haste?U wud have told us,we wud have got u married here in this same altar.) Atleat we wud have been saved of the defamation u have caused us. Arnav:Di,main.... But everyones attention got diverted to Mamis comment. Mami:Hello Hi Bye Bye,kahin Phati Saadi ka pregnant to nahin kardiya?Isiliye jaldi ma saadi karli donon ne.(Has he got PS pregnant,thats why they got married hastily?) Arshi were left stunned by this assumption of Mami.Certain vivid images of them making love started playing on their minds but they soon snapped out of their thoughts hearing a loud roar. Nani:Chotte,kya ee sach hain? (Is this true?) Hearing Nani doubting on their marriage for this reason,Khushis eyes started tearing up and she looked at Arnav,feeling a sudden pang of anger towards him for landing her in such a situation.But seeing Khushi looking at Arnav with teary eyes,everyones doubts got confirmed and Payal came forward,asking for an explanation from Khushi. Payal:Chup kyun ho?Jawab de na,Khushi. Feeling guilty for getting Payal in such a miserable state on her marriage day,Khushi started stammering. Khushi:Jiji,yeh sach na... But her words were left unfinished as Payal got the wrong meaning of her words.Payal looked at her in disbelief. Payal:Amma and Buaji were right in saying that u shud have been left as an orphan itself.U deserve this only.You know what,wherever u go,u create problems for everyone.You are an ill-omen.Firstly because of u,my previous marriage got broken.Then again because of u,Babujis shop got closed down and he even got paralysed due to worrying for you and ur safety when u went to Nainital.What mishaps havent take place in our lives because of u.And now again for u,my family will get disgraced in the society. And she started crying with Akash trying to console her.Nani was obviously spitting fire by her eyes and Anjali was sticking to shyam seeking solace from him with Mamiji making faces and NK & Mamaji watching the scene quietly. But Arnav had had enough of this drama now.Agreed that he may e feeling angry at Khushi but that does not mean that anyone would blame his wife for something she has not done. Arnav: Enough if Im not saying anything,that does not mean that ull talk however u want to my wife.We got married because we wanted to,not for a baby which does not exist at all.We know our limits and if things would have reached that extent,we would have confided in you people.But dont u think that ure creating an unnecessary fuss for nothing. (turning to Khushi) Lets go.
