What is Marriage ? So when we ask what is marriage we get some really mesmerizing answers which instigates you. But lately coming to the reality and being a part of it and feeling the events happening around, as a youngster who teaches children to stand and fight for what is right, I felt helpless. -Marriage is about still following the old dowry system , the only difference is that it is done in name of willingness from the girls side . We still dont respect girls dont we . - Marriage is about giving money to all members and making sure you dont miss any one and right amount is there in every cover and the reason is ,I have also taken from everyone. I just want to ask then why is this give and take and what happens if some one feels this is wrong. - Taking care of all the people and spending your whole time in making sure that no one feels bad. - Investing all your hard earned money in pleasing people which finally has no relevance. Forget all our elders who feel scared thinking different , I want to put forward this issue in front of all we youngsters ,whats stopping us from bringing small changes?Why are we being trapped in this circle of fear? We say it tradition , I say who formed it. Its all we people right. Recently I had been to one marriage in gurudwara where every damn person was made to sit and listen what it means to get married ,that is what marriage is right and not coming there eat and give a fake smile for the camera. The problem is that we forget the essence and only want to do we things which are acceptable in so called samaj,because you want to live there. We are social animals, agreed. But if we are just being a part of group just to mark our existence we are already dead. I just ask you all one questions and dare to answer , Who are you? ...if you think this is how things work. I dont know how much I am gonna be able to bring difference , but as a teacher who embeds hope in kids , I am not gonna lose it.
