What is Naïve Art? The spontaneous desire to draw and paint, has existed since the dawn of human civilization, and its most recognized example, the "cave paintings". The term, Naïve Art, was first used at the turn of the nineteenth century, to identify the work of Henri Rousseau, self-taught painter, admired by the artistic avant-garde of that time, which included geniuses such as Picasso, Matisse and Paul Gauguin, among others. With this genesis, Naïve Art began to assert itself as a chain that covers the artistic contexts, spontaneously and with full freedom of expression and aesthetic. Their followers define it today as "free art convention". The Naïve Art, is designed and produced by artists without specific academic preparation, and without the "obligation" to have to use elaborate techniques and thematic approaches and conventional chromatic in the work they perform. This does not mean you do not study and perfect so self-paced and experimental development of his works. This does not imply that the quality requirement of the same is less. The artistic ability is an innate gift in humans and there are no technical rules or dogmas, which, when it actually is present, you may stifle quality and extract value. The Naïve Art does not fit well in the designation of Popular Art, differing from it, insofar as it is a creative individual, which features unique artistic pieces and original. Characterized, in general terms, by an apparent simplicity and freedom that the author has to relate or disaggregate, at their pleasure, certain elements considered formal, lack of perspective, deregulation of the composition, the unreality of the facts, or applying color palettes shocking. The Naïve Art, still expresses, in general, happiness, joy, spontaneity and imaginary complex, resulting sometimes all this together in a beauty apparently unbalanced, but always very suggestive. Some critics claim that, in contrast to the "academic" painting with the brain, "naive", paint only in spirit. This seems to be the true essence of Naïve, clearly the style of those who are born with the gift to be an artist ...
