What is SBM? S - School B - Based M - Management A brief Overview on our SBM level of practice.... The implementation of the Governance Act of Basic Education Act if 2000 (RA 9155) provided the mandate for decentralizing the system of school management and recognized the role of Local Government Units (LGU), and other stakeholders as partners in education service delivery. In 2006, a more comprehensive package of policy reforms dubbed as Basic Education Sector Reform Agenda (BESRA) was launched to sustain and expand gains of School First Initiative (SFI) through School Based Management (SBM). The growing appreciation for SBM among the Balogohanons (locales of the Sitio Balogo) here and abroad as the vehicle to institute reforms in the school level is now very apparent by the increased in number of stakeholders participation in our School Improvement Plan (SIP) Formulation, Implementation, Monitoring Ang Evaluation as far as grants (mainly foreign-based). Wow Balogo ES have various reports at hand showing specific evidences on: 1. Collaborative School Planning 2. Collective Leadership & Governance. 3. Community Based Learning 4. Accountability and Performance Result. 5. Convergence to harness our: a.Human Resources b.Physical Resources c.Fiscal Resources Along those principles metioned above, Wow Balogo ES had have showcase its level if SBM practice for the past three (3) years And made it all the way to level 3 (advance) in the Regional Level.
