As a retired combat medic I watched as tears fell from my eyes, knowing that as hard as we may seem, we have compassion and love for each of our brothers who entered to their eternal home. I never knew one of us who did not weep in private for each fallen brother yet remained strong in front of others. We carry the cries and empty stares of each brother each moment of every day, yet we carry the faith of Our Father that not one of them was or will ever be left behind. While hard to awake these emotions thank God that medical treatment continues to advance, but sad that we have to let even one go. I thank my Lord and Savior for each that fell and for each that returned and for each whose hand touched an injured Brother. Praise God for those that are in his arms and for each one who He allowed to return for awhile longer.
