What is a mother to do? Girl wants to have a friend over, but the friend doesnt like it here because our house is boring. There are horses, trampoline, a friendly dog, video games, tv, dvds, x-box, play station, basket ball hoop, bikes, 4-wheeler, wireless for their Ipods, unlimited woods and ponds and a creek. The only thing I see as different is that there will be no running amuk or taking off riding bikes 5 miles down the highway. No boys, no excitement, too much supervision apparently. My feelings are officially hurt, and I think just for being a responsible parent my daughter is suffering. I refuse to fall into this modern parenting thing. I was content to catch frogs in the pond or run Beagles on rabbits with friends when I was a kid. WTH happened? Sad. I am really hurt. But I refuse to change what I feel is right. I hope girls parents understand.
