What is happening right now in Ferguson and around the country is not some flippant and all-of-sudden were burning things down response. I hope you all realize that. What happened with Michael Brown was a spark. While it seems people are rioting about the lack of indictment, theyre more than likely rioting about racism. Racism is a problem in the U.S.-- Inappropriate police response is also a problem in the U.S. That said, I agree with the chantings of police officers risk theyre lives everyday! as well as There was a white man shot and killed through similar circumstance in Utah! Those statements are accurate. What Im seeing throughout the media, social networks, etc.. is this issue turned into something shallow, which it is not. This issue is multidimensional, incredibly complicated, and certainly real. Stop simplifying. Stop justifying. Stop victim blaming. For The sake of all things good, read and reflect before you make an ignorant statement. Thanks, facebook, for being an outlet for frustration.
