What is it about music that can just change the way you look at things. Its amazing the way that music sets the mood and the tone for everything. Its also funny that certain songs play at certain times; I dont really believe in coincidences, everything happens for a reason. I believe we are exactly where we are meant to be. However, we all have rough days and I find that when Im so in my own head because Im overwhelmed with life, or having a weak moment and struggling with a decision, theres nothing like throwing on some headphones and turning off the world. I have songs that remind me if certain people, or situations that I was in, most of them empower me or make me smile because they make me think of someone that Im glad to have in my life. They also strangely come on at just the right time. This girls voice is amazing and I could listen to all of her covers, but today Im glad this one came on. Its pretty self-explanatory. I found myself in a position where all I wanted to do was flip out, but I know that thats not the person I want to be. I never act on impulse when it comes to heightened emotions; I learned that lesson once. I refuse to stoop down to a level that I know Im better than. So I will listen to some music, shamelessly laugh at internet memes, get a good workout in and focus on what will benefit me. No more compromising. Thank you to those who let me vent today. Its only up from here.
