What is legalism? Legalism is from the root word legal,law or lawful.It has the conotation of that which is lawful or accordance with the law. Legalism is simply the emphasis or over-emphasis on discipline and law for salvation. Legalists centres on character reformation and moral behavioral decency for salvation thereby placing little or no emphasis on Christs blood for our redeemption and eternal salvation. Beware of legalism, Beware of legalist.
