What is really behind a “Military Scam”? Part 42 Romance Scam By Bernard Vance and Nina Rasmussen Over the past several weeks I have been assisting victims of “Military Scams” and after Identifying military personnel used as an Avatar, I started to read the emails being sent by these Predators. That is when I really started to get very upset as the subtle way the scammers were portraying our military personnel (both US and NATO military personnel). First let us take a look at why Military personnel on a social or dating site are so attractive. One; for the most part Military personnel are healthy young men and women in the prime of their life. Well-disciplined and taking good training that will stay with them the rest of their life, and they are respectful and courteous. They know how to themselves well, dress nice and clean (even out of uniform). These young Men and Women (about 2% of the US American Population have chosen to become protectors, train and but their lives on the line to maintain our freedom and our way of life, they also protect innocent people in many places in the world along with NATO and Other Allies, they are the front line against aggression of many of the nations around the world. When These young Men and Women (enlisted and Officers) going the military the swore an oath to protect us from all enemies and we give them great power and authority to accomplish that mission, we expect them to be truefull and honest and loyal to the oath that they took and yes we ask them to use that training and force to stop aggression and protect the innocent not only at home at times around the world. As I have been reading these email written by Predators, Scammers, criminal and Terrorist (yes Terrorist) is see in each one that they are trying in a concerted efferent to undermined the good names of the military personnel that they stole pictures from to use as avatars and the reputation of the military as well. This is done in several ways. 1. Many of the scams involve the use of a child and the solder is away from the child and cannot take care or provide medical help for the child. This is total A false premise, as the military provides housing, (or a housing allowance) and medical care for military dependents. 2. Troop Movement, including leave from combat Zones is always provided by the military. Solders do not have to find funds for airline tickets to travel home on leave, funds to travel to military hospitals for treatment, or even to travel home when they are discharges as the Military Always provides for all that at all times for all military personnel. 3. Wounded Military personnel do not need to ask for funds from their family for treatment of wounds or illness. Medical Treatment is always provided by the military for all personnel wounded on the battlefield or while on duty and those wounded personnel are evacuated at military expense on Medevac aircraft to the nearest Military hospital and then Home for the best treatment available. 4. Yes at time during a battle or securing the area, City or palaces artifacts, jewelry, gold or silver bullion, or even large amounts of money is found. These are recorded, inventoried and then returned to the country of origin for their use and management. Soldiers and Officers are charged in maintaining the security of a country under their control, not in the systematic raping and stealing of the artifacts and money they find. Solders are not criminals and these predators are trying to make our men and women in uniform look like thugs and criminals raping and pillaging the land and people that they are trying to protect, 5. Diplomats and the Red Cross are always portrayed as being shady and assisting our soldiers and officers in trying to secretly move money, artifacts and bullion out of a conflict Zone. This is just another attempt to undermine the good name and authority of a nation and its diplomatic corps along with the good name of the world’s largest humanitarian organization. 6. Solders do not pay for leave or to process leave request, leave is earned and the request are processed by the local company commander who insures that all solders under his or her command get home as soon as they have earned sufficient time for a leave. A soldier never has to pay for leave, transportation to and from the combat zone or to process papers for leave approval, 7. Several emails I saw had an “Officer” Saying that “he” did not like what the government was having him do and he was going to get out of the military with the money he had secured (Millions of stolen dollars being shipped to his new on line girlfriend). Number One;’ Officers or Non-Commissioned officers will never express their feeling about the duties the military is requiring of them, if they do, it is in private to their next high officer (Chain of Command) and if they cannot complete their mission they are removed and retired or discharged. Number Two; such statements in emails sent around the world is just to undermine the mission of the military by making them look like our officers and non-commissioned officers are being made to do something wrong and they are against the mission put before them. Yes we have placed special trust in the man and woman of our armed forces, and to see them be destroyed and their reputations ruined by internet Scammers, Predators, and criminals who are not only are praying on the women and men who that want to support them, Stealing their money through dirty schemes and fees for nonexistent services, but are ruining the reputations of the service men and women and the military establishment in general. After the 911 attach on the United States, we started to see Military Internet Scams start to take place and as our soldiers moved in to combat zones and confronted these terrorist, they started to find a way to attack the soldiers by using their pictures as Avatars to steal and undermine the reputations of our military and its personnel. Al Quida is attacking the States and Europe online! Al Queda is a part of the 419 Romance Scam, they are trying to destroy America and Western Europe by undermining the Military. After 9/11-2011 Al Quida started to attack online by using all dating and social sites, by stealing US / NATO Soldiers pictures, putting their location on their profiles to the area around NY, pretending to be a Soldier in Afghanistan or Iraq. Most of the scammers are located in Nigeria and they are a part of the Terror Organization Boko Haram. Boko Haram is considered a major potential terrorist threat affecting Nigeria and other countries, and U.S. officials believe it is potentially allied with Al Quida. Terrorists attacking US/NATO and the Military Allies around the world. The US Military has come a long way since its army’s founding in 1775. The United States currently has 1,447,896 active duty personnel and 1,458,500 in its active reserve personnel. Its approximately 4,217,413 potential army entrants each year greatly contribute to its already enormous military population. The United States not only has the 2nd largest army in the world, it also has the most highly trained troops and most powerful arsenal by far. Its land forces alone utilize 8,325 tanks, 18,539 armored fighting vehicles, 1,934 self-propelled guns, 1,791 towed artillery pieces, and 1,330 rocket launchers. With its highly advanced weaponry and nuclear power, this nation can surely combat any form of threat to its national security. The Scammers/Terrorists know US Military is one of the Nations in the World and with its Allies, has Soldiers all over the World. Terrorist cannot and will not stand up and fight, as they know that they would lose before they even get started. The way the scammers/Terrorists operate online is they are trying to get all people to believe that US and its Military allies are is a bad and the government and its officials are corrupt. Scammers/Terrorists know US working together with other Nations in Europe. Scammers/Terrorists are trying to find Monkeys (people who will believe them and help support them by assisting in the stealing of money and assets) from around the World, so they can become stronger and attack United States and its Allies, by causing people to believe that United States and their Military are corrupt. We would like you to understand that by supporting our soldiers and our military, you are supporting our protectors that stand between us and aggression around the world’ With our NATO Allies and Other Allies around the world, our joint military commands are protecting Innocent people and nations from Terrorist and aggressive groups that would subjugate all people if they could. Just think what the world would look like if we did not have a strong military, that had the reputation of good and honest men and women, not only protecting America and Western Europe but in many places the world. Help us educate the innocent Internet users about these Military Scams and the terrorism that is behind them. Let’s stop the supporting of Terrorism and the undermining of the reputations of our soldiers, the military and the nation. Do Not Feed the Scammers
