What is sin all about? What is wages of sin and OVERCOMING sin. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Genesis 3:6) God commanded Adam and Eve that they may eat all kinds of fruits in the garden of Eden except the fruits of good and evil because when the time they will ate eat they will surely die.This was the origin of sin and how it was carries to our generation.The Serpent who is also the devil who decieve Eve he speak lies against God And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (Genesis 3:4-5) he is a lier as from the beginning.Disobedient to God is a sin they did not obey the commandments of the Lord they refuse His law and instead follow their own lust and freewill There are the 3 kinds of temptation we must consider in genesis 3:6 that pulling us to fall into sin. First one the Lust of flesh and when the woman saw that the tree was good for food Second one is the lust of eyes and it was pleasant to the eyes Third is the lust of pride and a tree to be desired to make one wise and Eve and Adam ate eat and they fall into sin.This one of the passage supports the verse For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16) it clearly says that all of this are not from God but of the world. As i meditating the scripture God reveals me something about this sin, first is the wages of our sinfull being and disobedient to God that leads us into death and eternal damnation.Second is the remission and the gift of God (eternal life ). But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (Genesis 3:3 ) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) This verses pictures out the wages of commiting sin the fruits of sins that leads us to death and destruction.Sin is against the wil of the Lord it comes from satan the father of lies and as the bible says in (John10:10)that describe satan as the one who wants us to put into shame to destroy our lives to steal what the Lord has plans for us and to kill our life because he does not want us to be overcomers to be follower of Jesus Christ.Satan misleads our way he offers everything in this world too many deceitfull things that seperated us from the wil of the Lord.But the Lord our God make a way to save us from the curse of sin so that we may recieve the remission of our sin and everlasting life. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:43) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.( John 3:16) We need to have Jesus in our life and accept him as our Lord and Savior we must believe thet he paid the great cost of our sin through his death on the cross for us to recieve the everlasting life. To those believeth in his name for God said I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 The last thing all about is how to overcome sin? This was the harddest part for me as a believer of Jesus Christ because me myself is a sinner and everytime I always failed the Lord.So I became more interested to find out the answer from the bible as I pray to God for his guidance and began to write down all the revelation from him.First is God remind me about King David when he he took Uriahs wife Batshebba.David overcomes his sin by repentance and by admitting his sin and humble himself to God. And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. 2 Samuel 10:13 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Psalms 51:1 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 If we humble our self to God that by his mercies alone can makes as whole again and aknowledge the sin we have done through confession, the time we repented he already forgiven us.Just what King David did, on that moment of time the Lord hath put away his sin. Second thing that will surely helps us to overcome sin is through fasting and prayer let us see what King David did after he repented and asked forgiveness to God. David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.( 2 Samuel 10:16) Another situation is when Jesus and His three disciples went up to pray on a high mountain and they come down from the high mountain there was a boy who have an unclean spirit and the father of this boy called Jesus because his disciples could not cast out the dump spirit.And Jesus cast it out by commanding the dump spirit to cast away from the boy and enter no more unto him.then when they got home the disciples ask Him privately why they did not cast out the spirit and Jesus said unto them And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29 We can see how powerfull is fasting and prayer is.and there are so many passage on the bible that testify how powerful the fasting and prayer in defeating satan works. The last one is the word of God in the name Jesus for the word and God are one In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) We can not defeat satan and his demons without the Word of God, we can not overcome sin unless we have the word of God in our hearts as the bible says. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17 We can see in this passage how powerful the words of God is,we need to go deeper in his words to sharpen our swords.It also help us draw near to God it will help us to grow spiritualy, according to his word that faith cometh by hearing and hearing and hearing the word of God. When Jesus tempted by satan to make the rock into bread, then Jesus answerd him that man shall not live by bread alone but by words that comes from mouth of God. I believe through the grace of God and by His words alone will help us to be overcomers for he said the battle belongs to him and the victory is always ours. #Godtobetheglory
