What is the difference between an Extended and Directors Cut? - TopicsExpress

What is the difference between an Extended and Directors Cut? An Extended Cut: It may include all that was filmed, but it also may not. It could add ten minutes of footage, or forty minutes. Ultimately, an Extended Cut is the Cut the Studios approve of releasing. A Directors Cut: The truest vision of the Director. This will include all the scenes that the Director wants in the film. This version of the film is sometimes referred to as the original cut. Please keep in mind that either release would be great, but that a Directors Cut would more than likely give all that we hope to see. And while our effort has petitioned for the release of an Extended Cut, I hope that you all know that this can include a Directors Cut. It states on our petition page: On behalf of the fans, we are petitioning for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Sony Pictures, Screen Gems, 20th Century Fox, and Misher Films to release an Extended Version, or Directors Cut, of CARRIE. Keep up the great work everyone! Sign and Share the petition! petitionbuzz/petitions/carriepetition And be sure to call the Studios! Their PHONE NUMBER is: 1-888-223-2369
