What is the meaning of this 70% for salaries where will the services to the citizens be CES Finance minister presents 2014/2015 budget to cabinet Sat, 07/05/2014 - 17:52 Central Equatoria state Finance Minister on Friday presented 2014/2015 draft budget to the tune of 450 million South Sudanese Pounds to the Council of ministers. State Government spokesperson Suba Samuel Manasseh told Bakhita Radio that the cabinet made general comments on the budget and later would look into it ministry by ministry. He explained that 2014/2015 budget has a difference of 5.8 percent with salaries taking larger shares of 70 percent; operation cost takes 14.5 percent and capital expenditure 14.1 percent. Mr Samuel said the state government was required to work harder to raise a quarter of the proposed budget to address services delivery in the state. He urged revenue generating institutions to work hard to ensure that they raise the amount needed, appealing to the public to cooperate with revenue collectors. He said state priorities include security, agriculture, natural resources and infrastructure development. The Minister called on revenue generating institutions to do their best to meaningfully finance the budget.
