What is the rapture of the Church? The rapture of the church - TopicsExpress

What is the rapture of the Church? The rapture of the church is when Jesus calls all who are born again Christians to come home with him. He literally calls them home in a moments notice. Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. When will the rapture of the church occur? There are a few different thoughts on this, but I believe scripture teaches it will come before the seven year tribulation. The seven year tribulation will be the most terrible time that has ever come upon the face of the earth. It will be defined by even greater natural disasters than that which are currently happening, wars, etc. It will lead to a ruler who is able to lead the world into a false sense of “peace”, bringing the world into a one world monetary system, one world government and one world religious system. Scripture Reference on timing: 1 Thessalonians 1:10 ~ and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. Revelation 3:10 ~ Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Are you certain the church misses the tribulation? Yes. There is always a distinct separation between those who are righteous and those who are not. A time of great judgment is no different. Noah was separated in the flood and the church will be separated out of the seven year tribulation. Scripture reference: Revelation 6:17 ~ For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” 1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when THEY say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon THEM, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And THEY shall not escape. 2 Peter 2:9 ~ then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, Why would a loving God do such a thing? God is gracious and has been calling each and everyone of us. It is those who reject his free gift of salvation through the power of His grace that are left behind to experience something like the movie trailer shows above. God desires you return to a heart-felt relationship with Him not only to escape this time, but to walk with Him and experience all that He has for you. God is a God of lovingkindness but also righteousness and judgment. Scripture reference: Jeremiah 9:24 ~ But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. Isaiah 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.’ Bottom line, God is much more than a magic genie that seeks to place a smile upon our faces. His love is much deeper than that which we could fathom and His wisdom is just as deep. He is currently in the process of forming a shaping the believer and drawing in the unbeliever. But there will be a day, and very soon, where all of that will come to an end and the most terrible time of hysteria will cover the earth and many will be ensnared by it.
