Yasin Bhatkal, Abdul Karim Tunda, Syed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal and Fasih Mohammed: do these names ring a bell? These are all dreaded Indian terrorists who had escaped to safe foreign shores, had Pakistani passports and were considered beyond India’s reach. The UPA government proved those assumptions wrong. Each one of them has been brought back to India, some from countries never deemed favourable to Indian concerns and requests. Apart from that ensured the liked of Ajmal Kasab & Afzal Guru meet their fate. The BJP-led NDA government released India’s most wanted terrorists. The Congress-led UPA government is getting them back. Nothing else contrasts the difference between the two parties when it comes to terrorism and internal security.
