What is wrong with these people at the local newspaper? There are now 37 comments on the article about the boy who was asked to walk home by his father. Normally I wouldnt say anything about such a silly story but heres the comment I left after it finally made the Honolulu paper too. The one really at fault here is Tom LaVenture the reporter who thought it was appropriate to shame these people in front of the community. Im not talking about censorship but there are things that are just inappropriate to report. Tom- you have managed to scar a family worse than the whole incident ever could, including the child who is no doubt being teased and even bullied because of Tom LaVentures lack of compassion and need for copy. Shame on you Tom LaVenture. Update: I just had to share a comment from below up here: Guess Mayor Carvalho better cancel his whole Walk to School Day program too.... because you know... its endangerment and all.
