What makes Fresh Juice Bar different that other juice and smoothie - TopicsExpress

What makes Fresh Juice Bar different that other juice and smoothie bars, quite simply, our mantra of using only the highest quality ingredients and our NO SUGAR ADDED recipes. Did you know that most places serving bowls and smoothies use juice as a base that is filled with High Fructose Corn Syrup? What that means to you above and beyond higher calories you may not even realize. With (HFCS) being associated with such diseases of obesity (epecially in children) and type 2 diabetes, we made a commitment never to use such additives. When you consume this additive there are several proven concerns, here are just a few: -Weight gain -Damage to your immune system -Speeds up aging -Contains dangerous mercury poisons -Links to Metabolic Syndrome -Higher triglyceride leves that leads to plaque build up and later heart disease -Causes fat deposits in your liver We use only homemade almond milk, cocount water or purified water for any item you order on the menu. Not only should HFCS be avoided, but sugar in general, even table sugar. The Ameican Heart Association recommends that women get no more than 100 calories a day from added sugar (from any source) and that most men get 150 calories a day from added sugar. That is about 6 teaspoons for women and 9 teaspoons for men. Did you also know that if you are reading your label, 4 grams of sugar is equal to 1 teaspoon? We encourage you to read your labels! As an example, perhaps you are having a 100 calorie Yoplait, Vanilla Greek Yogurt for breakfast...sounds very healthy, right? While it is packed with good protein, it also has 7 grams of sugar, or almost 2 teaspoons! 1/3 of your total daily reccommended intake! We know it is hard to avoid sugar, but anytime you can make a better choice WILL make a difference!!
