What makes children happy ? Over indulged children - whether showered with toys or shielded from emotional discomfort are more likely to grow into teenagers who are bored, cynical & joyless. The best predictor of happiness are internal , not external. Teach them the word of God, have them internalize and live it out in their lives, we are their role model. Our boys recently attended a 8yr old birthday party held at Cathay Platinum suites (Gold class equiv.) with food/drinks served to the kids & lavish goody bags. I was wondering if the parents have to charter a yacht when he turns 10!
