What on earth would enter your evil mind to think Yes lets set a dogs home on fire?.. I will never forget the day my dad went for a few beers at Winton Cricket Club on a Thursday night when my sister & I were at school and he found a little mongrel puppy on Winton fields, dumped, suffering from malnutrition, ice cold, it was snowing, had been fed vegetables, my big sis Clare Maddox, my mama & i were sat at home watching crime watch and he arrived home with a little black puppy dog head peering behind his coat! We got the washing basket out as a bed, my mickey mouse alarm clock for a heartbeat, blankets and my dad spent the night with her to make sure that when we woke up she was still alive. He took her to the vets the next day, it cost him £400 to keep her alive and she remained there for 3 days it was heart wrenching, i had my 20p to phone home to use the school pay phone to see if she survived! Already she was part of our family, she did and we had 16 happy years with the little lady we called Annie the Orphan! She became my Nanas soulmate and everyone on the street knew her, #LegendDog #Annie
