What riders fail to realize, usually either because they are young, or very impatient, or lack the experience, is how quickly a horse can go from young and green to pretty accomplished. Skybreaker here, that we bought in Quebec as a yearling, sort of piddled over little stuff, for 3-4 years, gradually learning his craft, gradually jumping bigger stuff, and then, suddenly last week, he`s 4 inches above some five foot standards with Lila. SOMEBODY makes up these youngsters. Why should it so often have to be non North Americans? Americans have dropped the ball by always thinking the best way to do well is by bringing it here in an airplane--.
