What should every Filipino realize after the Papal Visit? We should love our country as much as we love Pope Francis. Marvel at the fact that most of us have surprisingly sacrificed our time, effort and conveniences just to see a glimpse of the pope, amidst pouring rain, being squished by the maddening mob. If we can all channel that same energy, that same devotion and passion to Nation Building, then we as a country will surely accomplish so much more. For I truly believe that the only thing we are missing now is love of country. If each juan can realize such, then we can collectively regain our pride as Filipinos - disciplined, worldly, educated, a people who understands proverbial freedom and its responsible use, and, a people who is truly with malasakit. I believe I will see this change in my lifetime.
