What strikes me most about this video is not the abandonment of hierarchical models of church (although this is deeply needed if this world is every going to be healed), but the puzzle piece imagery where multi-voices are heard and participate. If communities who take the name of Jesus would listen to the narratives of those of different race, gender, orientation, and economic position those communities really could demonstrate a beautiful community for the rest of our societies to join. Until then, we are just replacing single voice hierarchies (white/cis/male) with other single voice hierarchies, and nothing ever changes. (Those once disadvantaged become the privileged while others become or continue to be disadvantaged.) Watch for the puzzle piece imagery.
