What upsets others about you tells you what theyre afraid of and tells you something to work on...either a thing needing changed...or a thing to keep doing ^_^ For instance I answer questions with my real answer...not the expected one. Or I say nothing. It isnt meant to impress. Its meant to be MY answer. I realize it doesnt earn me brownie points--in college, in work, wherever. But at least I didnt just keep my head down and say nothing. I feel like when I answer questions my way, not the standard revised way, it frees others to do the same, if they want to. Then real conversations can open up. People can actually learn or think, not just memorize or rehearse. I realize sometimes I should just be quiet, that the people asking just wanted the standard revised, its rhetorical, or they didnt want to hear from me specifically. So I am becoming more carefully attuned to it, I suppose. But Im also doing this thing where I dont assume anything about what others want before I speak. Anxiety free. ^_^
