What value is there in developing a Love relationship with Christ who lives in us? To casually identify with Christ will use up its effectiveness long before we are a finished product. Theres no way to get where He can take us without an intense Love toward Him on our part. He is taking us places while our feet are on the ground that can never be accomplished unless there is a Love relationship with He who lives and abides in us! Without this intensity we simply will not follow at His speed. We can abide in Him who abides in us. That we may be one even as the Father and I are one, Jesus said. As our Love toward Him who lives and abides in us grows, a greater and greater purpose of His comes into focus! This purpose is to leave our own bad selves behind us and take on what He is! He in us is the better thing, so its a tremendous favor toward us for this to occur, even though there is a price to pay on our part. our journey can be one of co-operation rather than struggle. For His yoke is easy and His burden is light! At many levels we come to look like what we Love and also like what our gaze is intensely fixed upon. Some people look like money for example. Its not that pretty actually because in so doing one is out to grasp what is rightly anothers many times. Greed will do this.
